In this post, we alter a plain spiral pad and create a vintage notebook like no other and a place to keep everyday life's notes & ideas organized.

First, we cut out all the designs.

The notebook used in this project is a Mead Five Star and measures 5 inches x 7 inches.

Print out an extra page and trim it to fit the cover. Place over the spirals to crease them so you can see where to snip a line to allow for the metal spirals and glue it to the existing plastic cover.

The cover already looks done with one printout of the Victorian Paris Sewing Printable and glue, but I further added layers of cutout designs and decoupaged them onto this layer.

If you love to burnish the edges of designs, this Victorian printable is perfect for you because what better pieces to add a brown edge to than vintage fashion and ephemera.

After adding some color to the buttons, ribbons, dresses, people, and bows, I decoupaged the pieces onto the cover of the notebook. If you prefer to glue them on, that will work, too!

The inside page of this notebook features a pocket page, so I stamped our Classic Typewriter Rubber Stamp there.

Since the cover is plastic, StazOn ink is required so that the ink dries and is permanent. Above, our Parasol Stroll Rubber Stamp. is stamped in the bottom left corner.

I added acrylic paint to the back cover since it's an icky-to-the-touch cardboard from the factory and placed one of the cutout designs in the corner.

.......from the Victorian Paris Sewing Printable, a closeup Victorian girl with ruffled collar, hat with flowers and glued it into the corner after burnishing the edges with a green distress oxide ink.

For the back cover, I simply used white school glue on each of the leftover cutout designs.

From this one printable and some rubber stamps, we creatively altered a simple notebook into something that is fun and stylish and will bring you joy every time you go to use it!
